Trail FAIR - Nova Vita Second Stage Housing Program

Supportive, independent accommodation for women (with or without children) who have left abusive relationships or experienced past abuse and can benefit from a 1 year individualized program in order to deal with these issues. The focus is on the development of lifeskills, achievement of individual goals, and connections to community resources. A brief stay in a Transition House is required prior to admission.

Nova Vita Second Stage Housing Program

Provides six housing units (four-2 bedroom and two-1 bedroom apartments) where women (with or without children) can recover from the effect of abuse in relationships.

Rent is based on Ministry of Human Resources shelter rates, and the maximum stay is 12 months.

During their stay at Nova Vita, residents are expect to participate in mandatory program activities such as:

Weekly education\support group (2 hours)
Weekly one-to-one counseling session with program staff (1 hour)
Weekly resident's meeting (1 hour)
Two other community activities that assist the client in moving forward on her goals (AA, NA, Addiction Counselling, Abuse issue counselling, workshops, parenting, training, job search, etc)
