Program organized by the Coordinator of Volunteer Services for the Kootenay Boundary Health Services Area who has information about the program in local communities in the region. Provides trained volunteers to support Home and Community Care clients and their families who would benefit from regular visiting and a supportive relationship with a community volunteer. Volunteers provide weekly home or telephone visits for companionship, socialization and to offer family caregivers regular respite. Referrals are made by a Home and Community Care Case Manager.
